The Ceremony
Sergi Bancells, Club Fígaro's international ambassador, entered the catwalk to the rhythm of the Imperial March, to welcome all those present and, once again this year, to lead the gala with mastery.
A Figaro Catwalk that was filled with rhythm, colour and talent as we saw all the finalist collections parade, with stagings that left no one indifferent: live music, choreographies, fashion... Everything was measured to the detail.
Before the awards ceremony, Felicitas Ordás, president of Club Fígaro, gave an emotional speech in which she highlighted the important role of hairdressing professionals for society as a whole, especially in difficult times, and encouraged them to "give clients our best version, being more positive, giving added value to our service and providing them with authentic experiences during their visits. This is the future of hairdressing: to fill our clients with excitement and emotion. Let's not be afraid to value ourselves for our work". He also highlighted Club Fígaro's commitment to thrill and create unforgettable experiences, thanks to novelties such as Fígaro Experience.
Jordi Trilles, Regional General Manager Southern Europe of Revlon Professional, said: "There is a fundamental value here, which is the effort, at all levels, to organise the Awards and to participate in them. There is also passion, because everything we see is the result of putting the heart at the service of a job well done. And there is also talent, but not arrogant, it is a generous talent to teach and share learning and inspiration to thousands of hairdressers."
Julia González, director of the Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle fairs at IFEMA, emphasised that: "For Salón Look and for IFEMA this is the icing on the cake". And she added: "This is your home and I hope it continues to be so; that it continues to be the stage for all the creativity, talent and work that we see here year after year."
Sergi Bancells wanted to highlight the importance of the Fígaro Awards and creative professionals to inspire young people and show them that hairdressing is much more than it may seem. "It is our responsibility to open all the doors and break down all the walls to make every day more visible how wonderful this profession is (...) because the new generations will be the protagonists who will take our beloved hairdressing further and further, higher and higher and more beautiful".
