Club Fígaro partners with The Hair MBA to enhance training and professional development in the hairdressing sector

As part of the agreement, the training platform will be responsible for announcing the names of the finalists at the Fígaro Awards 2023, on July 17th.

Club Fígaro has signed a collaboration agreement with The Hair MBA, the first master's degree program in Business & Artistry in hairdressing. This innovative educational platform stands out for its phygital format (physical and digital) and for its teaching staff, made up of more than 50 internationally renowned experts.

According to the Board of Directors of Club Fígaro, "We consider it a privilege to establish such enriching synergies for the profession, as training is intricately connected to creativity and technique. Having the highest level of training is the basis for achieving recognition for hairdressing and its professionals on a global level. Our commitment to training is also reinforced with the creation of the new category Spanish Student of the Year. However, in this ever-evolving industry, learning never ceases. That's why the work of The Hair MBA is crucial in helping our hairdressers achieve their utmost potential."

Óscar Guinea, content director at The Hair MBA, says: "We are delighted that our educational platform has become a partner of the Fígaro Awards, the most significant event in Spanish creative hairdressing. Since the beginning of Club Fígaro, I have been personally involved in the project and what has always impressed me the most is the high level of participation and its immense recognition within the hairdressing industry. As part of our collaboration, we will be excited to announce the finalists of the 2023 edition on July 17th. In this journey together, the commitment of both Club Fígaro and The Hair MBA is to give prestige and value to the profession, through a community and training of the highest quality".

For its part, Revlon Professional remains an official sponsor of Club Fígaro and the Spanish Creative Hairdressing Awards, an entity that it has supported since its inception in its work for the recognition and dissemination of Spanish creative hairdressing.

The Fígaro Awards gala will be held on Monday, November 6th, 2023, coinciding with the new dates announced by our official partner Salón Look IFEMA MADRID.

The Club

The objective pursued by Club FÍGARO is recognition, both professionally and socially; thus raising our profession to the category of excellence, just as sectors such as fashion or gastronomy did at the time. Our mission is aimed at making our work known, admired and respected, both in the national and international territory, thus consolidating an increasingly cosmopolitan and powerful industry.

The Contest

The Spanish Hairdressing Awards, also called Fígaro Awards, value the photographic works of the hairdressing creations of the participating firms, to reward the most outstanding creative hairdressers in the country. They consist of five categories and were established in 2009 to give notoriety and visibility to the artistic work of Spanish hairdressers. The basic objective pursued by Club Fígaro with the creation of these awards is the social and professional recognition of hairdressing in Spain to consolidate an industry that is increasingly cosmopolitan and powerful.

Participating hairdressers register online to participate and upload their photographic collections to the Club Fígaro website. Afterward, the professional jury, made up of prominent personalities from national and international hairdressing and which changes every year, individually and independently votes the collections submitted anonymously, so impartiality is guaranteed.

Club Fígaro has the support of its main sponsor Revlon Professional, Salón Look IFEMA MADRID, a leading trade fair event, as official partner and The Hair MBA, as collaborator. Finally, Club Fígaro has the support of the main professional beauty magazines and portals in Spain.
